About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join a well-established insurance defense litigation practice specializing in catastrophic personal injury matters. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated attorney looking to expand litigation, courtroom, and trial experience while managing complex insurance defense cases. The role requires the ability to independently handle files while collaborating with a dynamic legal team and traveling to surrounding counties for court appearances and depositions as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage insurance defense litigation matters from inception through trial.

Represent clients during court appearances, hearings, mediations, and depositions.

Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.

Propound and respond to written discovery.

Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive legal arguments.

Analyze case facts, evidence, and legal issues.

Communicate effectively with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and insurance representatives.

Take and defend fact and expert witness depositions.

Prepare cases for trial, including witness preparation, exhibit organization, and trial strategy.

Participate in first-chair or second-chair trial opportunities.

Maintain accurate case files and meet litigation deadlines.

Required Qualifications:

Active membership in the California State Bar in good standing.

Minimum of 3+ years of litigation experience.

Prior insurance defense litigation experience is required.

Strong knowledge of California civil litigation procedures.

Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

Experience handling discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.

Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a legal team.

Willingness to travel for court appearances and depositions throughout Los Angeles and surrounding counties.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience handling catastrophic personal injury litigation.

Trial experience or strong interest in developing courtroom litigation skills.

Strong organizational and case management abilities.
