About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced Machinist II to join our manufacturing team in Stuart, FL. This role is responsible for performing machining operations used in the production of complex precision components. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating CNC, manual, or EDM machines, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to maintain tight quality standards in a manufacturing environment.

The Machinist II will independently perform machining operations, set up and adjust equipment, inspect finished parts, troubleshoot machine issues, and ensure all components meet required specifications and tolerances.


Responsibilities:

Operate CNC, manual, and EDM machines to perform machining operations according to work instructions, process sheets, and production requirements.

Set up, change, and adjust precision cutting tools and machine tooling as needed.

Load, modify, and manage machine programs while making minor adjustments to feeds and speeds.

Perform tool grinding and sharpening for cutting tools and drills when required.

Maintain precise measurements and tight tolerances using machinist tools, gauges, and inspection equipment.

Inspect completed parts to verify quality standards and dimensional accuracy.

Perform routine machine maintenance checks and report equipment issues.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Follow all safety procedures, quality guidelines, and manufacturing standards.

Support training and development of other employees as needed.

Perform additional machining and production-related duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing or machining experience.

Experience operating CNC, manual, or EDM machining equipment.

Ability to work independently while maintaining production and quality standards.

Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship requirements.

Ability to work in an ITAR/EAR regulated manufacturing environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

Strong understanding of metal machinability and manufacturing processes.

Experience operating Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs), preferably Doosan and/or Okuma equipment.

Knowledge of machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, process documentation, and technical drawings.

Understanding of shop mathematics, geometry, and trigonometry.


Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, and use hands for handling and operating equipment.

Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moderate cold, heat, and machine noise.

Must use required personal protective equipment including safety glasses and safety shoes.
