About the Job:
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer II to support and improve manufacturing operations through process optimization, engineering expertise, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in injection molding, lean manufacturing, and process engineering, with the ability to drive operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support manufacturing engineering projects focused on injection molding and production process improvements.
Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.
Optimize manufacturing processes using a hands-on engineering approach to improve workflow and production performance.
Support new product introductions, process validation, and production transitions.
Develop and maintain manufacturing specifications, work instructions, and technical documentation.
Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Validation teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
Analyze manufacturing costs, material utilization, and identify cost reduction opportunities.
Perform root cause analysis, support NCR investigations, and implement corrective actions.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on waste reduction and process optimization.
Evaluate capital equipment needs, ROI opportunities, and manufacturing enhancements.
Prepare and present engineering reports, technical documentation, and project updates.
Support customer visits and manufacturing-related technical activities as required.
Ensure compliance with company safety policies and manufacturing standards.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
5–7 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience with Injection Mold Processing.
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
Experience with SolidWorks and/or Solid Edge.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
Experience creating manufacturing process documentation and work instructions.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
