About the role

Position Overview

  • Position: Master Electrician
  • Location: Stoughton, Wisconsin
  • Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site
  • Schedule: Manufacturing/maintenance environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems, equipment, controls, and related components.
  • Diagnose electrical failures and equipment issues to minimize production downtime.
  • Perform preventive and predictive electrical maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot motors, motor controls, electrical panels, circuits, sensors, switches, and industrial electrical components.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and equipment documentation.
  • Perform electrical installations, modifications, upgrades, and repairs in accordance with applicable codes and safety requirements.
  • Support equipment installations, facility improvements, and capital projects.
  • Work closely with maintenance, engineering, production, and outside contractors.
  • Identify opportunities to improve electrical reliability, equipment performance, and workplace safety.
  • Maintain documentation related to electrical maintenance, repairs, inspections, and modifications.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, Wisconsin electrical requirements, OSHA standards, and company safety procedures.
  • Respond to electrical issues affecting manufacturing operations and prioritize work based on safety and production needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Wisconsin Master Electrician license in good standing.
  • Industrial or manufacturing electrical experience is required.
  • Strong experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial electrical systems and manufacturing equipment.
  • Solid knowledge of electrical codes, safety practices, and industrial electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions when diagnosing electrical and equipment issues.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with industrial maintenance work.

Preferred Experience

  • Three-phase power and industrial motor controls.
  • VFDs, PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, and automated manufacturing systems.
  • Electrical and electronic controls in a manufacturing environment.
  • Equipment installations, upgrades, and facility electrical projects.

License & Continuing Education

The successful candidate must maintain an active Wisconsin Master Electrician license in good standing. Required continuing education and applicable license renewal costs will be covered by the employer.
