About the Job:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler I to support warehouse and manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, moving, and distributing materials and products throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will ensure inventory accuracy, maintain organized storage areas, and safely operate material-handling equipment to support production and order fulfillment activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials, products, and shipments.
Receive, unpack, inspect, and store merchandise and materials in designated locations.
Accurately enter received materials into the warehouse management system.
Count, verify, and record inventory manually and electronically.
Identify and report damaged goods, shortages, or quality concerns.
Operate forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely.
Move materials between warehouse, production, assembly, and shipping areas as needed.
Maintain inventory records and support inventory control processes.
Pick, pack, crate, and prepare materials and products for shipment.
Fulfill material requisitions and internal production orders.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Dispose of waste materials and manage recycling processes according to company procedures.
Store materials in a safe, orderly, and accessible manner.
Inspect equipment and machinery for safe operation and report maintenance needs.
Perform routine equipment maintenance and safety checks.
Assist with receiving, stocking, shipping, and inventory-related tasks.
Operate company vehicles when required to retrieve materials and supplies from local vendors or facilities.
Follow established warehouse procedures, safety standards, and operational guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous warehouse, material handling, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience preferred.
Forklift operation experience preferred; forklift certification is a plus.
Ability to safely lift, move, and transport materials throughout the workday.
Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or warehouse management systems preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record may be required.

Inventory management and cycle counting.
Shipping and receiving operations.
Material handling equipment operation.
Warehouse organization and safety compliance.
Production support and order fulfillment.
Basic equipment inspection and maintenance.

Warehouse and manufacturing facility setting.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving materials.
