Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NM Tech)
Location: Plano, TX
Setting: Cardiac Outpatient
Schedule: Full-Time, Days (Monday–Friday)
Shift Rotation: Weekly rotation between:
- Opener: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Closer: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Saturday shifts are volunteer-based.
Compensation: $38.00 - $48.00 per hour
Sign-On Bonus Available
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a busy Cardiac Outpatient team in Plano, TX. In this role, you will perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures to support the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. Working under the supervision of a Radiologist and in collaboration with physicians and healthcare professionals, you will provide high-quality patient care while ensuring compliance with established protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and established departmental protocols.
- Prepare, administer, and monitor radiopharmaceuticals while maintaining radiation safety standards.
- Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Review patient histories, assess patient conditions, and explain procedures to patients.
- Ensure accurate documentation and timely completion of imaging studies.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
- Follow all quality assurance, infection prevention, and safety guidelines.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience required.
- Prior cardiac imaging or cardiac outpatient experience required.
Certifications/Licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire or transfer.
- Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification required.
- One of the following certifications is required:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Nuclear Medicine [ARRT(N)], or
- Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) – Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT).
