Opening Hardware Development Engineer Level 2

Location: Mayfield Heights, OH

Contract: Full-Time

Schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop industrial automation hardware.
• Support hardware architecture and verification activities.
• Program, analyze, test, and troubleshoot electronic prototypes.
• Prepare product design documentation and test reports.
• Research new technologies and implement circuit design tools.
• Troubleshoot hardware failures.
• Support test automation and design simulation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and engineering best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in cross-functional hardware product development.
• Experience with design capture tools and reading/understanding schematics.
• Knowledge of circuit theory and electronic systems.
• Experience with at least one of: microprocessors, digital logic, analog design, DC-power conversion, CPLDs, FPGAs, Ethernet, or wireless technology.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debuggers.
• Familiarity with IEC 61508, IEC 61000, or other electronics compliance standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ownership.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Python and/or C++ programming experience.
• Experience developing automated hardware testing applications.
• Experience in a Scaled Agile environment.
• Knowledge of functional safety and EMC standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Growth mindset and willingness to learn and expand technical responsibilities.
