About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee daily production operations in a fast-paced commercial printing and manufacturing environment. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for managing production schedules, improving workflow efficiency, ensuring quality standards, overseeing inventory and equipment maintenance, and leading production teams to meet customer deadlines. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, production management experience, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, implement, and manage daily production schedules to maximize efficiency and ensure on-time delivery.

Supervise all shop floor operations while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards.

Lead daily production meetings to communicate priorities, resolve operational issues, and align team objectives.

Coordinate with Customer Service, Sales, Purchasing, and other departments to support production commitments.

Manage inventory levels, order raw materials and production supplies, and minimize waste.

Oversee preventive maintenance programs and coordinate equipment repairs to maximize uptime.

Monitor production performance, identify process improvements, and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Ensure product quality standards are consistently maintained throughout production.

Recruit, train, mentor, and develop production staff while promoting teamwork and accountability.

Plan staffing requirements based on production demands.

Track production KPIs, prepare operational reports, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Enforce workplace safety policies and maintain a clean, organized production environment.

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Production Management experience in commercial printing, manufacturing, or a related production environment.

Proven experience leading and supervising production teams.

Strong production scheduling, planning, and organizational skills.

Experience with inventory management, purchasing, and production materials.

Knowledge of preventive maintenance planning and equipment management.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production management software.

Preferred Qualifications:

Commercial printing industry experience.

Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or EOS operating systems.

Knowledge of printing, bindery, mailing, and fulfillment operations.

Experience with PrintIQ or similar Manufacturing Information Systems (MIS).
