Production Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead residential remodeling and custom construction projects from pre-construction through final completion.

This role oversees production leadership, scheduling, field coordination, purchasing, subcontractor management, budgeting support, and operational accountability across multiple active projects.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic planning and field-level execution. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing schedules, coordinating subcontractors, solving field challenges, and maintaining project momentum in a fast-paced remodeling environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Leadership

Oversee day-to-day execution and sequencing across active remodeling projects
Identify and resolve production issues proactively before they impact schedules or budgets
Lead field coordination efforts and subcontractor performance management
Maintain accountability for project progress, quality, and operational execution

Scheduling & Coordination:

Build and maintain detailed construction schedules and Gantt charts
Coordinate subcontractors, inspections, purchasing activities, and material deliveries
Communicate scheduling conflicts, sequencing issues, and project risks early
Manage multiple active remodeling projects simultaneously while maintaining efficiency

Budget & Cost Management:

Participate in estimating, budgeting, and pre-construction planning activities
Monitor labor performance, project costs, and change orders
Identify budget risks, scope gaps, and operational concerns proactively

Systems & Quality Control:

Utilize construction management software for scheduling, communication, and documentation
Maintain quality standards and jobsite organization throughout all project phases
Support operational process improvements and production system enhancements
Adapt to evolving construction technologies and workflow improvements

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in residential remodeling, custom residential construction, or design-build environments
4+ years of experience in construction leadership, project management, or production management
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, remodeling logistics, and residential building systems
Proven experience developing and managing construction schedules and Gantt charts
Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple active projects in fast-paced environments
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Buildertrend, CoConstruct, Procore, JobTread, or similar construction management platforms
Experience with remodeling estimating, budgeting, and job cost management
Hands-on field carpentry or residential remodeling background preferred
Bachelor’s degree preferred
