Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations on the 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing supervision, employee development, safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.

This role is responsible for ensuring safe and efficient production, maintaining staffing levels, meeting quality and delivery requirements, controlling costs, and developing a high-performing manufacturing team. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma, SPC, DMAIC, and root cause analysis is highly desirable.


Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily production operations for assigned manufacturing departments.

Supervise and develop production employees, including direct and contract staff.

Maintain appropriate staffing levels and ensure effective workforce utilization.

Monitor safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost performance.

Provide training and coaching to employees to ensure adherence to production and quality standards.

Enforce company policies, safety procedures, standard work, and operating requirements.

Lead cross-functional communication and collaborate with other departments and shifts.

Analyze production metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Apply Lean Manufacturing and Lean Six Sigma principles to improve processes and operational efficiency.

Support the use of Statistical Process Control (SPC), DMAIC, and root cause analysis.

Communicate production goals, performance metrics, and expectations to employees.

Identify and address operational issues while providing leadership and support to production teams.

Recommend improvements to work instructions, processes, equipment, methods, and procedures.

Ensure employees understand their responsibilities in meeting production and customer requirements.

Promote employee engagement, teamwork, accountability, and a continuous improvement culture.


Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required.

Bachelor's degree, preferably a Bachelor of Science, is highly preferred.

Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience.

Approximately 3 years of direct supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Experience leading, directing, or managing manufacturing teams.

Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement environment.

Strong understanding of production processes, safety, quality, and productivity.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience with performance metrics and root cause analysis.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple organizational levels and departments.

Demonstrated ability to lead by example and promote standard work.


Preferred Qualifications:

Lean Six Sigma certification or training.

Experience with SPC and DMAIC methodologies.

Experience leading High Performance Work Teams.

Strong knowledge of continuous improvement principles.

Experience with employee training and development in a manufacturing environment.


Work Schedule:

2nd Shift / Night Shift

On-site position in Kulpsville, 

Full-time employment
