About the Job:
We are seeking a Project Engineer – Electrical Construction to support the successful planning, coordination, and execution of electrical construction projects. This position will work closely with the Project Manager, project staff, design teams, and operations to ensure projects are completed efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with project staff to develop project action plans and cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, time, and other resources.
Assist with the development and coordination of project plans, designs, and construction activities.
Analyze and recommend appropriate materials, equipment, systems, and construction practices.
Support the Project Manager with submittals, RFIs, take-offs, and other project documentation.
Coordinate with design teams to address design issues and make necessary plan modifications.
Analyze equipment, systems, and processes to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness.
Prepare periodic project progress, cost, and status reports for leadership.
Ensure project activities comply with applicable electrical codes, guidelines, best practices, and company policies.
Work closely with operations teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve project-related issues.
Collaborate with other Project Engineers to share solutions, best practices, and lessons learned.
Perform additional project and engineering responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
3+ years of industry experience, preferably within electrical construction.
Understanding of electrical construction processes, project coordination, and project documentation.
Experience with construction estimating, take-offs, RFIs, and submittals is preferred.
