Project Engineer (Electrical Construction)

I am reaching out regarding an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer (Electrical Construction) based in Lake Elsinore, CA.

This full-time position is ideal for professionals looking to build a long-term career in electrical construction management. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with Project Managers while supporting the successful planning, coordination, and execution of commercial and industrial electrical construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Project Managers with the planning, execution, and closeout of electrical construction projects.
• Review project plans, specifications, contracts, and bid documents.
• Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation.
• Coordinate material procurement and equipment deliveries.
• Maintain project schedules and assist with project forecasting.
• Support job cost tracking and budget management.
• Coordinate with field personnel, vendors, subcontractors, engineers, and general contractors.
• Attend project meetings and prepare meeting minutes as required.
• Assist with permit processing, inspections, and project closeout documentation.
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify potential schedule or budget issues.
• Maintain organized project files and reporting systems.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• 1–5 years of experience in construction project engineering, project coordination, or project management support.
• Electrical construction experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Bluebeam, Adobe, and project management software.
• Experience with Accubid, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar platforms is a plus.
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
