Position Overview
Bluebix Solutions is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Earthworks to oversee and manage earthworks construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, project coordination, budgeting, scheduling, and subcontractor management skills with proven experience in earthworks and construction site operations.
Key Responsibilities
Position Deliverables
- Ensure the earthworks scope is executed in strict compliance with contract documentation, approved drawings, and technical specifications.
- Deliver projects within approved baseline schedules and budgets while monitoring and minimizing schedule or cost deviations.
- Ensure all work complies with project specifications, applicable standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements with no rework or non-conformances.
- Compile, verify, and submit complete closeout documentation packages including as-built drawings, certificates, work logs, financial closeout forms, and related documentation.
- Ensure all subcontractors and suppliers fulfill contractual obligations and complete final settlements and reconciliations.
Scope of Responsibilities
- Participate in concept development and approval stages within the Concept Group.
- Assume responsibility for approved project schedules and ensure adherence to timelines.
- Support project preparation activities including scheduling, sequencing, and resource planning.
- Identify contractors and suppliers, review commercial proposals, and coordinate contract execution.
- Organize and supervise subcontractor activities while ensuring compliance with quality and contractual standards.
- Develop, coordinate, and monitor project budgets, change orders, and cost variances.
- Plan and oversee procurement activities, technical specifications, and supply contracts for materials and equipment.
- Coordinate subcontractor requests for materials and equipment requisitions.
- Provide technical supervision and quality control including testing, inspections, and acceptance procedures.
- Train subcontractors on quality assurance procedures and project standards.
- Perform project risk management including identification, mitigation planning, and monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and environmental standards on-site.
- Oversee preparation and processing of as-built documentation and commissioning documents.
- Manage document control and ensure timely processing of invoices and accounting documentation.
- Monitor project schedules daily and ensure achievement of production targets.
- Provide daily construction progress reports and update project schedules accordingly.
- Manage team resources including recruitment, supervision, motivation, and personnel allocation.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures.
- Conduct training sessions for contractors on construction technology and company regulations.
- Coordinate communication with clients, design teams, and construction supervision authorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field required.
- Minimum 5–7 years of professional experience in the construction industry.
- At least 3 years of supervisory or project management experience overseeing construction activities.
- Minimum 2 years of direct experience managing earthworks operations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and quality control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
