About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to oversee daily field operations for commercial construction and infrastructure projects in Winter Haven, FL. The Project Superintendent will lead field crews and subcontractors, coordinate site activities, maintain project schedules, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with plans, specifications, quality standards, and applicable building codes.

The ideal candidate has strong field leadership experience in commercial construction, structural concrete, masonry, utilities, or infrastructure, with the ability to manage multiple aspects of day-to-day construction operations while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, productivity, and schedule performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities, field crews, subcontractors, and vendors.

Plan and manage manpower, materials, equipment, and site resources to maintain project schedules.

Ensure construction activities are performed according to approved plans, specifications, and project requirements.

Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.

Conduct daily site meetings and coordinate activities with project managers, inspectors, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

Monitor project progress and maintain accurate daily reports, production records, and project documentation.

Maintain high standards of quality control and verify that work meets project specifications and applicable codes.

Identify field issues, conflicts, and potential delays and proactively develop solutions.

Implement and enforce OSHA requirements, company safety policies, and site-specific safety plans.

Conduct or participate in safety meetings, inspections, and jobsite audits.

Track labor, materials, equipment, quantities, and productivity to support project cost control.

Assist with change orders by reviewing field conditions, quantities, labor impacts, and scope changes.

Coordinate inspections and ensure required documentation is completed accurately and on time.

Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure work remains aligned with project schedules and quality expectations.

Communicate project status, schedule concerns, material requirements, and field issues to project management.

Help optimize labor, materials, equipment, and other resources to maintain project efficiency.

Maintain a professional, organized, and safe jobsite throughout all phases of construction.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Project Superintendent, Construction Superintendent, General Superintendent, or similar field leadership position.

Strong supervisory experience leading construction crews and coordinating subcontractors.

Commercial construction experience strongly preferred.

Experience with structural concrete, masonry, utility, water/wastewater, or infrastructure construction is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of construction means, methods, sequencing, and field operations.

Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, specifications, and schedules.

Knowledge of OSHA requirements and construction safety practices.

Experience with quality control, inspections, and construction documentation.

Understanding of labor, material, equipment, quantities, and basic construction cost control.

Ability to identify field problems and implement effective solutions.

Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with construction software and project management tools.

OSHA 30 or other relevant construction certifications are highly preferred.

Valid driver's license required.

Ability to work full-time, on-site in Winter Haven, FL.
