Job Summary

The Connecticut Department of Social Services (DSS) is seeking a QA Test Analyst with strong experience in both manual and automation testing to support enterprise applications. The candidate will work with developers, Business Analysts, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure application quality, functionality, and compliance with business requirements.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of QA/testing experience with enterprise applications.
  • Strong experience in Manual and Automation Testing.
  • Selenium, TestNG, Java.
  • API testing using REST/SOAP and Postman.
  • SQL for backend data validation.
  • Experience with Jira and Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Experience with Salesforce testing is preferred.
  • Experience with Mobile/PWA testing, JSON/XML, Git, and CI/CD concepts is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, test planning, test cases, defect management, and RTM.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute manual and automated test cases/scripts.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, SIT, UAT, API, and end-to-end testing.
  • Validate backend data using SQL and test system integrations.
  • Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, requirements reviews, and defect triage.
  • Collaborate with developers, BAs, project managers, and business stakeholders.
  • Support release validation and post-production testing.

Preferred Domain Experience

Experience with State Government, DSS, Human Services, Medicaid, Medicare, Healthcare, Eligibility/Benefits systems, Integrated Eligibility Systems (IES), or Salesforce is highly preferred.

Note: The role is remote initially, but candidates must be willing to work onsite in Hartford, CT when the State transitions to a hybrid/in-office schedule.
