About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Attorney to join a dynamic and collaborative legal team in White Plains, NY. This role is ideal for an attorney with strong experience in residential and commercial real estate transactions who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will manage real estate matters from contract preparation through closing while providing exceptional client service and legal guidance.


Key Responsibilities:

Draft, review, and negotiate residential real estate purchase and sale agreements.

Handle residential real estate closings, including lender and bank transactions.

Manage commercial real estate acquisitions, sales, financing, and related transactions.

Communicate directly with clients, lenders, title companies, and other parties throughout the transaction process.

Assist with cooperative (co-op) apartment transfers and related documentation.

Conduct legal research and prepare transactional documents.

Ensure compliance with applicable New York real estate laws and regulations.

Maintain accurate case files and manage multiple transactions simultaneously.

Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure timely completion of transactions.

Provide legal advice and practical solutions to clients throughout the transaction lifecycle.


Required Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Active admission to the New York State Bar.

Minimum 3 years of experience handling real estate transactional matters.

Strong knowledge of residential and commercial real estate law.

Experience managing real estate closings from start to finish.

Excellent drafting, negotiation, and legal writing skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a legal team.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with commercial real estate acquisitions and financing.

Familiarity with co-op apartment transfers.

General corporate transactional experience is a plus.
