Refrigeration Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration systems and HVAC equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of refrigeration principles and the ability to troubleshoot various equipment issues in the field. The Refrigeration Technician will work closely with clients to ensure their systems operate efficiently and effectively.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems and HVAC units in commercial and residential settings.

Perform routine inspections and diagnostics on refrigeration equipment to identify potential issues.

Conduct service calls as a field service technician, responding promptly to customer requests.

Repair or replace defective components, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and other related parts.

Utilize welding skills for repairs or modifications as necessary.

Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used for each job.

Communicate effectively with clients regarding service options, recommendations, and maintenance schedules.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all work activities.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a service technician in refrigeration or HVAC fields is preferred.

Strong knowledge of equipment repair and maintenance practices related to refrigeration systems.

Familiarity with refrigeration repair techniques is a plus.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a company van for travel between job sites.

Basic brazing skills are necessary for equipment repairs or modifications.

Ability to work independently in the field while managing time effectively.

Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues.

Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
