Experienced Emergency Room RN looking for your next travel assignment? Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY is seeking an experienced ER/ED Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel contract. This is a fast-paced Adult Emergency Department serving a diverse patient population and requires previous travel ER experience.

First-time travelers cannot be considered for this position.

Position Details

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room / Emergency Department
• Facility: Strong Memorial Hospital
• Location: Rochester, NY
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 36 or 48 hours/week available
• Shift: Day / Evening / Night – Rotating
• Blended Hourly Pay: $70/hour
• Weekly Non-Taxable Stipend: $1,512
• Weekly Gross Pay: $2,520 based on 36 hours/week

Emergency Department RN Role

This is a high-volume Adult Emergency Department (ED) providing care to a diverse patient population. The department manages more than 100,000 visits annually and serves as a major trauma center.

Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency nursing care to adult patients with a wide range of conditions.
• Perform patient assessments, triage, monitoring, and ongoing nursing care.
• Administer medications and treatments according to orders and protocols.
• Monitor telemetry and recognize changes in patient condition.
• Assist with boarder patients while maintaining safe, organized patient flow.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, technicians, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Respond effectively in a fast-paced emergency and trauma environment.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow hospital safety and infection-control standards.

Requirements

• Active New York RN License – NY License ONLY.
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED/ER) RN experience.
• Telemetry experience required.
• Previous travel ER experience required.
• First-time travelers will not be considered.
• Ability to work a rotating Day/Evening/Night schedule.
• Ability to work either 36 or 48 hours/week, based on assignment availability.
