About the role

Role Description

The Residential Construction Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Washington DC–Baltimore Area. This role oversees residential construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, managing schedules, budgets, and quality standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating subcontractors and suppliers, monitoring site progress, conducting inspections, and ensuring adherence to plans, building codes, and safety requirements. The Project Manager will lead site meetings, resolve field issues, review change orders, and maintain accurate documentation and reporting. The role also involves regular communication with clients, design teams, and internal stakeholders to align expectations, manage milestones, and deliver projects on time and within budget.


Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Project Management and Construction Project Management skills to oversee multiple residential builds and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Candidates should possess Project Coordination and Construction Management skills to manage schedules, trades, materials, and site logistics effectively.
  • Candidates should possess Budgeting and cost control skills to develop estimates, track expenses, manage change orders, and maintain profitability.
  • Relevant experience in residential construction, including familiarity with local building codes, permitting processes, and inspection requirements.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and basic office tools (e.g., project scheduling, document management, and communication platforms).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients, trade partners, and internal teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead on-site teams, enforce safety standards, and solve problems in a fast-paced field environment.
  • Preferred: Associate or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
