Respiratory Therapist – Full Time | Night Shift

Location: Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, New York

Position: Respiratory Therapist

Schedule: Full Time | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every Other Weekend

Pay: $34.98 – $43.15/hour

Sign-On Bonus: $10,000

Job Description

Samaritan is seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The Respiratory Therapist will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients while supporting their overall health, comfort, and quality of life.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This position primarily works the 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM night shift, including every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care and treatments to patients.
• Monitor patients and check their breathing needs.
• Provide oxygen, CPAP, and BiPAP treatments as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and files.
• Enter patient information into electronic systems.
• Assist with EEG testing when needed.
• Work with nurses and doctors to provide quality patient care.
• Follow safety and infection-control procedures.

Qualifications

• NYS Respiratory Therapist (RT) or Respiratory Therapy Technician (RTT) license required to perform oxygen, CPAP, or bi-level titrations.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience.
• Polysomnography experience preferred, but not required.
