Location: Austin, Texas
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Schedule: 3 Days per Week, 12-Hour Day Shifts
Compensation: Up to $130,000 annually + Comprehensive Benefits Package
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated RN Unit Manager to join our healthcare team in Austin, TX. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily unit operations, ensuring exceptional patient care, supporting nursing staff, and maintaining compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the assigned nursing unit.
- Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff to promote professional growth and clinical excellence.
- Ensure high standards of patient care, safety, and satisfaction.
- Coordinate staffing assignments and maintain appropriate unit coverage.
- Monitor and improve quality, safety, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with physicians, department leaders, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Assist with budgeting, resource management, and operational planning.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in staff development, performance evaluations, and coaching initiatives.
- Serve as a role model and advocate for a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
Required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or related healthcare field.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
- Previous nursing leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
