Job Summary:

We are seeking a Sales Manager / Sales Player Coach to drive business growth through strategic relationship building, sales leadership, client experience, and team development. This role combines hands-on sales with leadership responsibilities, making it ideal for an experienced sales professional who can both generate new business and coach a sales team to improve performance.

The Sales Player Coach will develop referral partnerships, convert prospective clients into retained clients, strengthen existing relationships, and lead the execution of sales processes and performance strategies across the team.


Key Responsibilities:

Drive new business through relationship building, networking, referrals, outreach, and follow-up campaigns.

Build and maintain strong relationships with referral partners and prospective clients.

Conduct effective sales conversations and convert qualified prospects into retained clients.

Follow up consistently with prospective and former clients to strengthen long-term relationships.

Conduct ongoing Care Calls and client relationship activities to improve retention and engagement.

Lead, coach, mentor, and develop sales team members to achieve individual and team goals.

Monitor sales performance, conversion rates, KPIs, and other key metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.

Develop and refine sales processes, workflows, and follow-up strategies.

Provide training and coaching to improve sales techniques, communication, and client experience.

Partner with company leadership to implement growth initiatives and achieve business objectives.

Ensure consistent execution of sales and client-relations processes across the team.

Represent the organization professionally at networking events, meetings, and referral-development activities.

Use data-driven insights to improve sales performance, conversion rates, and overall client experience.


Qualifications:

Proven experience in sales, sales management, business development, or client relationship management.

Demonstrated ability to generate new business and build strong professional relationships.

Experience coaching, mentoring, or leading sales professionals.

Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Ability to manage both individual sales production and team leadership responsibilities.

Comfortable working with sales metrics, KPIs, conversion rates, and performance data.

Strong follow-up skills and a results-oriented approach.

Ability to build referral networks and develop strategic partnerships.

Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Strong customer-service mindset with a focus on delivering an excellent client experience.

Willingness to work from Little Canada, Wayzata, and Burnsville, MN offices as needed.

Valid driver's license and ability to travel between offices; mileage will be reimbursed.
