Job Title: SAP Data Integration Engineer

Location: Jersey City, NJ - Hybrid 

Duration: Fulltime  

 Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support data pipelines connecting SAP systems with cloud and enterprise data platforms.
• Work with SAP SLT, SAP Datasphere, SAP CPI/Integration Suite, SAP BTP, and related SAP integration technologies.
• Work with SAP source systems including ECC, S/4HANA, BW, ODP, CDS Views, ABAP tables, and core SAP business data.
• Implement secure connectivity using SAP Cloud Connector, VPN, Private Link, and cloud networking technologies.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize SAP-to-cloud data flows.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines and data models using Snowflake, BigQuery, Azure Synapse, Amazon Redshift, or similar platforms.
• Work with Airflow, dbt, Dataform, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Fivetran, Kafka, or equivalent tools.
• Support CI/CD, version control, automation, data governance, security, and documentation.
• Contribute to batch, CDC, streaming, API-based, and event-driven integration architectures.
• Work closely with SAP Basis, functional teams, cloud architects, BI, security, project managers, and client stakeholders.
• Participate in client workshops, solution design, technical reviews, and pre-sales activities.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with at least one SAP integration/replication technology such as SAP SLT, SAP Datasphere, SAP CPI/Integration Suite, or SAP Data Intelligence.
• Strong understanding of SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA data structures.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience with at least one modern cloud data platform such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Azure Synapse, or Amazon Redshift.
• Experience building, supporting, or troubleshooting enterprise data pipelines.
• Understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, event-based integration, message queues, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Understanding of data governance, security, lineage, and compliance.
• Strong communication, analytical, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Cloud data engineering experience.
• Python for automation, scripting, or data transformation.
• Airflow, dbt, Dataform, ADF, AWS Glue, Fivetran, or Kafka.
• SAP BTP / SAP Cloud Connector / hybrid cloud connectivity.
• Knowledge of ODP, CDS Views, ABAP debugging.
• SAP functional data knowledge such as FI/CO, MM, or SD.
• Experience with SAP-intensive industries.
• Knowledge of SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Datasphere, Databricks, and AI/analytics architectures.
• SAP or cloud/data certifications are a plus.

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in SAP technical, SAP integration, data integration, or enterprise data roles.
• Proven experience delivering SAP-to-cloud or SAP-to-enterprise data integration solutions.
• Experience supporting production-grade data pipelines, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Consulting, managed services, or multi-client enterprise experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience may also be considered.
