Job Overview

As a Backend Developer at PulseDesk, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing server-side applications and APIs. You will work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver secure, high-performance, and scalable software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Build scalable and secure server-side applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Design, implement, and optimize database schemas and queries.
• Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and data validation mechanisms.
• Troubleshoot bugs, improve application performance, and resolve production issues.
• Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features.
• Maintain technical documentation and follow software development best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with backend frameworks such as Express.js or NestJS.
• Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Working knowledge of databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Understanding of authentication protocols, including JWT and OAuth.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development workflows.
• Experience with debugging, testing, and performance optimization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Redis, caching, and background job processing.
• Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of message queues and asynchronous processing.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest.
• Understanding of application security, monitoring, and logging.
