Job Title: Senior Electrical Estimator

Location: Canoga Park, CA

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join a growing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience estimating complex commercial, industrial, healthcare, institutional, and/or data center electrical projects. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, analyzing project risks, coordinating with operations and preconstruction teams, and helping secure profitable work.

The Senior Electrical Estimator plays a critical role in supporting strategic business growth while maintaining profitability and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review plans, specifications, bid documents, and contract requirements.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for electrical systems, including:
• Power Distribution
• Lighting Systems
• Fire Alarm Systems
• Low Voltage Systems
• Building Controls
• Site Electrical Work
• Develop comprehensive labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and vendor pricing.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Identify scope gaps, risks, value engineering opportunities, and constructability concerns.
• Prepare conceptual, budgetary, negotiated, and hard-bid estimates.
• Participate in bid strategy meetings and estimate reviews.
• Coordinate with project managers, operations teams, and field leadership during preconstruction.
• Assist with project turnover meetings following project award.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Support business development and negotiated project pursuits.
• Mentor junior estimators and contribute to estimating process improvements.

Qualifications Required:

• 8+ years of electrical estimating experience.
• Strong understanding of commercial and industrial electrical construction methods.
• Ability to interpret complex construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with estimating software such as:
• Accubid
• Bluebeam
• Trimble products
• Strong knowledge of NEC and applicable electrical codes.
• Experience estimating projects ranging from $1M to $50M+.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.

Preferred:

• Field electrical experience.
• Design-build and design-assist project experience.
• Experience with healthcare, hospitality, aerospace, commercial, industrial, institutional, or data center facilities.
