Senior Estimator

Position: Senior Estimator

Location: New York

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate estimating efforts for large, complex construction projects

• Review drawings, specifications, and attend pre-bid meetings to define project scope

• Prepare conceptual and final cost estimates with detailed supporting documentation

• Utilize historical cost data to develop accurate unit and manhour estimates

• Provide technical guidance to team members during the estimating process

• Support bid preparation, subcontractor evaluations, and post-bid negotiations

• Track awarded projects, including change orders and cost adjustments

• Maintain all estimating documentation and reports for audit and review

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

• 5+ years of estimating and project management experience

• 10+ years of experience estimating building or construction projects

• Experience working on projects valued at $100M+

• Background in public, infrastructure, or commercial construction projects

• Proficiency with HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam, MS Excel, and SmartBid

• Strong understanding of estimating techniques, cost control systems, and construction disciplines

• Excellent communication and coordination skills

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
