About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Family Law Paralegal to join a dynamic legal team in Stockbridge, GA. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional with extensive family law experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will support attorneys throughout all stages of family law matters by managing case files, drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and maintaining strong client communication.


Key Responsibilities:

Assist attorneys with trial preparation, hearings, mediations, depositions, and client meetings.

Draft, review, and proofread legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, discovery requests, and other family law filings.

Conduct legal research and summarize findings to support case strategy.

Organize, maintain, and update electronic and physical case files.

Manage case calendars, court deadlines, hearings, and attorney schedules.

Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel regarding case updates and documentation.

Interview clients and witnesses to collect relevant case information.

Prepare discovery responses and assist with document production.

Perform accurate data entry and maintain organized legal records.

Ensure compliance with court rules, filing procedures, and legal deadlines.

Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to support efficient case management.


Required Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Paralegal, with significant experience in Family Law.

Strong knowledge of family law procedures, litigation, and court processes.

Experience drafting legal pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.

Proficiency with legal case management and document management software (MyCase or similar platforms preferred).

Strong legal research and analytical skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple cases.

Experience maintaining confidential legal records and client information.

Professional client service and communication skills.

Knowledge of legal ethics and professional responsibility standards.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with MyCase or comparable legal practice management software.

Familiarity with Georgia family law procedures and court filing requirements.

Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative legal team.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
