About the Role

JMS Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems for healthcare and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical design expertise, project management experience, and the ability to mentor junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design of HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems.

Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.

Manage projects from design through construction administration.

Mentor and oversee junior engineering staff.

Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and project teams.

Interface with local regulatory agencies for permitting and approvals.

Attend project meetings and conduct site visits.

Review shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.

Support project closeout and construction documentation.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited).

6-20 years of Mechanical Engineering design experience.

Professional Engineer (PE) License (Required).

Strong experience with Revit.

Experience designing HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems.

Experience with construction administration.

Strong communication and leadership skills.
