Senior Project Manager / Superintendent

I wanted to share an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager / Superintendent with a well-established luxury custom home builder in the Charlotte area.

Position Overview

This role is responsible for managing the construction of high-end custom single-family homes ranging from 5,000 to 12,000+ square feet. The selected candidate will oversee 2 to 3 projects simultaneously and serve as both the Project Manager and Superintendent, taking full ownership of budget, schedule, quality, and client communication.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

• Review and fully understand all construction drawings and details
• Manage specifications, material selections, and quoted scope
• Track and control project budgets and change orders
• Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules
• Plan work 3–4 weeks in advance and hold subcontractors accountable

Client Management

• Serve as one of the primary points of contact for homeowners
• Provide regular updates and manage expectations
• Track and coordinate client requests and changes

Construction Management

• Coordinate subcontractors and respond to field questions
• Conduct quality control inspections throughout the project
• Identify risks and resolve field issues quickly to avoid delays and cost overruns

Documentation & Communication

• Lead project meetings with organized agendas
• Maintain detailed meeting notes and action items
• Keep running to-do lists and project records

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Extensive experience in luxury custom residential construction
• Proven success managing multiple high-end homes simultaneously
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and building methods
• Experience with budget management and scheduling
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
• Ability to work directly with discerning clients and maintain high standards of quality

Preferred Software Experience

Experience with tools such as Buildertrend, Procore, or Microsoft Project is a plus.
