About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Superintendent (Traveling) to lead and oversee large-scale construction projects from preconstruction through final completion. This role is responsible for managing all on-site construction operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards and contract requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive field experience, and a proven track record managing complex commercial construction projects while coordinating subcontractors, field teams, consultants, and client representatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all on-site construction activities for large and complex projects.

Implement and enforce site-specific safety plans and maintain OSHA compliance.

Serve as OSHA competent person or assign qualified personnel as required.

Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, self-perform labor, equipment, materials, and deliveries.

Ensure all work is performed according to contract documents, specifications, drawings, and quality standards.

Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and short-term work plans.

Conduct daily stand-up meetings and weekly subcontractor/foreman coordination meetings.

Monitor project progress, production tracking, and critical path activities.

Support project budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and change management processes.

Manage Time & Material (T&M) documentation and field change requests.

Create and manage Site-Specific Quality Plans (SSQP).

Collaborate closely with Project Managers and project teams to achieve operational goals.

Maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, inspectors, and stakeholders.

Participate in business development efforts and support client satisfaction initiatives.

Supervise and mentor Foremen, Assistant Superintendents, and Project Engineers.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.

3–7 years of construction experience in a similar leadership role OR 7–10 years of supervisory field experience as a tradesperson.

Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, scheduling, and field operations.

OSHA 30 certification required.

Knowledge of construction safety standards and best practices.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced construction environments.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Willingness to travel for project assignments.
