Facility: Powerback Windward Gardens
Location: Camden, Maine
Position Type: Permanent / Full-Time
Pay Rate: $42–$47/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Weekend: Weekend rotation may be required
Position Summary
Powerback Windward Gardens is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join its rehabilitation team. The SLP will provide evaluation and treatment services to patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
The position offers the opportunity to work with a mix of short-term rehabilitation and long-term care residents, helping patients achieve their therapy goals and improve their independence and quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy.
- Monitor and document patient progress.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans and strategies.
- Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Follow facility policies, clinical standards, and applicable regulations.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current Maine SLP license or eligibility for Maine licensure.
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred/required as applicable.
- Clinical experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or long-term care is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Compensation & Benefits
- $42–$47/hour
