Job Overview

HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Supervisor to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for a motivated leader with strong sterile processing experience who is committed to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and instrument sterilization.

Shift Details

Shift: Days
Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Schedule: 3 shifts per week
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Responsibilities

Supervise the daily operations of the Sterile Processing Department.
Ensure proper decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
Monitor compliance with hospital policies, AAMI, OSHA, and infection control standards.
Train, mentor, and evaluate Sterile Processing staff.
Coordinate workflow to ensure timely instrument availability for surgical procedures.
Maintain inventory and ensure proper equipment maintenance.
Collaborate with Operating Room and other clinical departments to support patient care.

Qualifications

Previous experience in Sterile Processing required.
Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Current Sterile Processing certification (CRCST or equivalent) preferred.
Strong knowledge of sterilization procedures, infection prevention, and regulatory standards.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Compensation

Pay Range: $20.00 - $28.50 per hour (based on experience)
Sign-on Bonus: Available for qualified candidates
