Salary: $70,000–$100,000 per year, depending on experience
Position Overview
We are seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer to join our Structural Engineering Practice in Midtown Manhattan. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to work on the structural design and analysis of a variety of building projects.
Candidates with 0–5 years of structural engineering experience are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for building projects using concrete, steel, and other structural materials.
- Apply applicable building codes, standards, and engineering principles to design work.
- Prepare structural drawings, details, and construction documents in a BIM environment.
- Coordinate structural designs with architects, engineers, and other project disciplines.
- Assist with project documentation, calculations, and technical reports.
- Review shop drawings and submittals as needed.
- Support senior engineers throughout the design and construction process.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- AutoCAD experience is required.
- EIT certification or ability to obtain EIT within 6 months of employment.
- Strong understanding of fundamental structural engineering concepts.
- Ability to work effectively in an in-office, collaborative environment.
- U.S. work authorization required; candidates must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.
- 0–5 years of experience in structural engineering/design.
- Experience with structural engineering software such as:
- SAP2000
- ETABS
- SAFE
- RAM
- RISA
- Revit
- Experience working in a BIM environment.
- Experience reviewing shop drawings and construction submittals.
