Structural Engineer

Position Overview

Seeking a Structural Engineer to support the analysis and design of building structures across a variety of materials and project types. The selected candidate will contribute to a collaborative engineering environment and work closely with senior engineering staff on structural design and project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design structural systems including steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and wood structures
• Design gravity and lateral load resisting systems
• Support single-family residential and low-rise commercial building design projects
• Assist with historic preservation analysis and structural design
• Prepare structural calculations, drawings, and construction details
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and project team members
• Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs
• Participate in site visits and construction observation
• Support preparation of technical reports and project documentation

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in Structural Engineering
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architectural Engineering
• Experience with structural analysis software and drafting tools such as AutoCAD or Revit preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• FE/EIT certification or intent to pursue licensure preferred
