Structural Engineer

We are working with a growing structural engineering firm that specializes in forensic investigations, structural design, and analysis services for a diverse range of building and infrastructure projects throughout the Hudson Valley and Greater New York area. The team collaborates closely with architects, developers, and contractors to deliver practical and innovative structural solutions.

Position: Structural Engineer

Location: Garrison, NY (Full-Time)

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and design structural systems involving steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and wood.
• Design gravity and lateral load-resisting systems.
• Support single-family residential and low-rise commercial building projects.
• Assist with historic preservation analysis and structural design.
• Prepare structural calculations, drawings, and construction details.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and other project stakeholders.
• Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs.
• Participate in site visits and construction observations.
• Support the preparation of technical reports and project documentation.

Qualifications:

• 2–5 years of structural engineering experience and/or a Master's degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
• Experience with structural analysis software and drafting tools such as AutoCAD or Revit is preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• FE/EIT certification, or the intent to pursue licensure, is preferred.
