Location: Salem, OR 97301 (Hybrid) 

Duration: 12 months

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST 

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced System Administrator to support the Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA). The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing Microsoft enterprise environments, including Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Windows Server Administration, Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and PowerShell. This role involves maintaining enterprise infrastructure, troubleshooting technical issues, deploying Windows workstations, and ensuring secure and efficient IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID environments.
• Manage DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy configurations.
• Deploy, configure, and support enterprise Windows workstations.
• Administer and support Microsoft 365 services.
• Manage Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Intune environments.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and system administration.
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and system-related issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and support guides.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure system reliability, security, and performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• 4–6 years of experience with DNS and DHCP.
• Experience with Enterprise Windows Workstation Deployment.
• Strong knowledge of Group Policy administration.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 Administration.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune.
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills.
• Experience in technical documentation and troubleshooting.
• Experience administering Windows Server environments.

Work Location

• Hybrid – Salem, Oregon.
• Candidates must be local to Salem or willing to relocate/commute.
• Candidates should reside within 50 miles of Salem (including Portland, Eugene, Bend, or nearby areas).
