Job Overview

Bluebix Health is seeking a skilled and experienced MRI Technologist (MRI Tech) for a travel assignment at URMC – Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY.

This is an excellent opportunity for an MRI Technologist looking for a high-paying travel MRI job, consistent 3x12 night shifts, and a flexible 13–26 week contract.

Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and established protocols
• Prepare and position patients safely for MRI procedures
• Operate MRI equipment and ensure high-quality diagnostic images
• Review patient history and screen patients for MRI safety risks
• Administer contrast media when applicable and monitor patients for reactions
• Maintain accurate patient and imaging documentation
• Follow MRI safety standards, radiation/imaging protocols, and infection-control procedures
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout examinations
• Troubleshoot routine equipment or imaging issues and report concerns appropriately

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent MRI Technologist experience preferred
• ARRT certification in MRI
• Current BLS certification
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety procedures and protocols
• Experience working in a hospital or acute-care environment preferred
• Strong patient-care, communication, and technical skills
• Must meet facility-specific credentialing requirements
